Prayers for Divine Mercy Chaplet

  1. Prayer of Consecration:

Mary, we want to consecrate Array of Hope to Jesus through you. We give you our heart. Please set it on fire with love for Jesus. Make it always attentive to his burning thirst for love and for souls. Keep our heart in your most pure Heart that we may love Jesus and the members of his Body with your own perfect love.

Mary, we entrust ourselves totally to you: our body and soul, our goods, both interior and exterior, and even the value of all our good actions. Please make of us, of all that we are and have, whatever most pleases you. Let us be a fit instrument in your immaculate and merciful hands for bringing the greatest possible glory to God. If we fall, please lead us back to Jesus. Wash us in the blood and water that flow from his pierced side, and help us never to lose our trust in this fountain of love and mercy.

With you, O Immaculate Mother- you who always do the will of God- we unite Array of Hope to the perfect consecration of Jesus as he offers himself in the Spirit to the Father for the life of the world. Amen.

  1. Divine Mercy Chaplet:

Opening Prayer: You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls, and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us.

Repeat Three Times: O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You!

Our Father: Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary:  Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

The Apostles’ Creed: I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

The Eternal Father: Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

On the 10 Small Beads of Each Decade: For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Repeat for the Remaining Decades: Saying the “Eternal Father” on the “Our Father” bead and then 10 “For the sake of His Sorrowful Passion” on the following “Hail Mary” beads.

Holy God (Repeat Three Times): Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Closing Prayer: Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion — inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.

  1. Prayer to the Holy Spirit: Oh, Holy Spirit, beloved of my soul, I adore you. Enlighten me, guide me, strengthen me, console me. Tell me what I should do; give me Your Orders. I promise to submit myself to all that You desire of me and to accept all that You permit to happen to me. Let me only know Your Will. Amen.

  1. The Memorare: Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

  1. St. Michael Prayer: St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.

  1. Intercession of Saints: You may ask your patron saints to pray for you at this time.
