We are Broken and Beautiful: In this episode, we hear from Jake and Heather Khym. Jake incorporates the insights of St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body into his work as a private counselor and co-hosts the popular podcasts Restore the Glory and Way of the Heart. Heather is a popular speaker and author and the co-host of the internationally popular podcast Abiding Together. Jake and Heather are the co-founders of Life Restoration Ministries which seeks to create environments of encounter through conferences and workshops where people can draw close to God, experience restoration, and become fully alive. We learn about Jake and Heather’s faith journeys, how those journeys converged, the inner obstacles that people experience that prevent them from living life to the full. They are also very open about their own struggles in their lives and marriage. Finally, we try to understand how we are both broken and beautiful, and what our response to this truth of ourselves should be.
